let go

hmmm...would it seem that i've been writing about too many project parties on my blog? I mean do i give the impression that i've been partying more than working?
I thought so. You are right...i've been working hard :o)
Neways, i have this quarterly project party this friday. It will be at D&B again. This time we'll be low on budget i think. Will have to look into that issue!

1...2...3...mind swaying....
It's time to let go. I have to remind myself every now and then!
Like i said - itna acha dimaag hai. uski sunni chahiye mujhe!

a week - II

oh and in case you are wondering...my leg feels much better now.

Had gone for a small celebration of the Release5 of my project. Although i've been part of release 5 since only a week (am officially a Release4 resource as well...it's complicated...don't ask!) i was invited to join the party. Am glad i din't miss it. We went to this club called J D Legends. It has a bowling alley, a sports bar, and sand volleyball courts. It felt amazing after playing volleyball afters years....and that too beach volleyball! My service was landing on the right spots that time!

Today had lunch in one Indian resturant, and dinner in another. Dinner was a treat from my colleague, as she's gonna leave Dayton pretty soon and join a new project in Detroit...

a week

hmmm...long time since i blogged here. It's been a week today. You missed me din't ya?

Well! Had a long day. Woke up at 11am (inc ase you are wondering...that's early by my standards!), thanks to my over-active roomies! They keep the place alive. And i am not left behind at doing the same!

Missed a trip to Niagara this weekend. But there is nothing to worry! I missed it so i could work hard and not miss the LA trip that i'll be taking this coming weekend! Ha ha! yes! i'll be away from this place for some time. I need a break. Don't you need a break every now and then. And if you don't think so...and i urge you to. 'cause you only 'Think' that you don't need a break. It's only when you take that you realise what good it does to you. I can say that for You 'cause i am also a human being like you ;o)

Am looking to buy a car. I am trying for a coupe. Was initially looking at Mitsubishi eclipse, Pontiac firbird and the kinds - affordable and highly sporty. But after speaking to Akshia and Avinash mama i've decided otherwise. Not that i've stopped looking at coupes! Now i've started looking for a Honda or a Toyota coupe. Read a lot of reviews. Have narrowed down to Honda Civic/ Toyota Celica. Atleast these are the ones i should be able to afford...marginally!
My roomie has already sold our car sicne he'll leave US on 21st. We'll have to give up possession of the car by 18th. I'll rent out a car then, and keep looking for a car for me own. This time the rental ain't gonna be no big car. Yep...me will be a bit sensible (as akshia and mom and dad call it! he he!) and take a small car - as that will save both rental as well as insurance!

Guess what!!!! I'll be the one organizing the project party for this quarter as well!!!! he he! i get myself into it everytime you'd think. You are right. just thought it would be another way to make 'em feel dependent on me. I play my part and you keep me here kinds....

Me got a salary raise. yippee! Being band A got the big increment. Well....actually i got the highest increment among the miserly increments that they give :o)
Don't mean nothing to me while i'm here. Offshore pe jaake alag baat hogi ;)

Cheers
Ankush

blessed wirelessed

Well, my laptop has a wireless internet connection. Our home network is also wireless. The laptop also has wireless bluetooth, that i use to connect wirelessly to my cellphone; which if i might add is already a wireless peoples' communication device.
My camera is wireless enabled and i can download whatever i shott effortlessly 'wirelessly'. I have a bluetooth headset that i use to connect to my cellphone and attend to call wirelessly using a wireless cellphone.
Oh Well. The new life.

And this is Sunday afternoon effort!
It was even yummier than what it seems to be in the pic.

calf muscle!

I had this strain in my left leg out of soccer football last Saturday. Kept ignoring it as even the right leg was no better till yesterday, when i could not support me on my left leg! It felt that my promising soccer career was ended even before it started. Spoke to Shalini mami. Went to the 'Ultra Care' doc. He diagnosed me as having a 'calf muscle' injury. Although that din't cure me of my pain, but it made me feel better. :) Now i had a name to my pain. So now when people ask me that why am i walking lame, i could say - Man! I am in pain. I have a calf muscle injury...
He He!
For those of you who are concerned, it's really not that serious. Doc asked me to put an ice-pack on it and it should be okay in no time.

ashtami

!!!!!!
We cooked kale chane, suji halwa, poori and boondi raita. And all food was good! Everybody was doing something. While Chopra cooked the chane, i made the halwa and prepared the flour for the pooris. Then while chopra was working on the raita, sudheer, me and sandy were making the pooris.
We shot a video of the preparation and ofcourse a round of interview about the entire thing. It was fun :o) Ate to the brim and fell sleepy like hell! Ofcourse i could not wait to write all if it here...so am still awake!

Another philosophy -
there are kinds of men who ask too many questions. They will take your opinion even if does not mean anything to them. When you come to measure all of this, it's actually quite easy to handle these people. Keep your cool. And say no to everything ;) deny everything! Their response would be ofcourse - ask another question. Deny Again! that's the simplest thing to do to get rid of 'em.

I bought new speakers to connect with my laptop. Bought the Creative P5800 5.1 speaker system. Amazing bass! It's as if the woofer is pumping air to the music...You have hear and feel it to belive it :)

Hmmm i could not believe India would loose so tamely to the Pakis! 144!!! For God's sake!

many meetings

mom had a minor operation last week. She is doing good. I hope she is not "recovering", cause i also hope there was nothing much wrong with her to recover from! And if you are reading this, then there is a message from your family - take care of yourself.
now i'm gonna give a reply to what i think will be her answers :o)
1. Yes, we will take care of each other. but you should do that for yourself too!
2. No. it's not enuf that i said this. you have to do it.

Chevrolet Sebring

The Chevrolet Sebring! I rented this out over the weekend. Big Powerful car, powerful cooling :) meri sadiyon ki icha poori kar di.

Went to meet my cousin in Akron, OH. He is working as a financial analyst there. Ummm....am trying to remember the company he works for...just can't!! Seems to be a nice guy. Even though he was down with headache and a bad cough n cold, we had a pretty okay time. Went for an Indian lunch as well in the brief time i stayed at his place. Saw a movie - National treasure *ing Nicholas Cage. Watch it, you have my word :)
Baith ke gappe maare hum logo ne saara din.
He took me to the univ of akron campus. huge place. was the first time i visited any univ campus actually. and i liked it.

driving alone for those 450 odd miles took it's toll. i had a headache! But all is fine now. Atleast being alone this once, i'll never be afraid to drive alone again. Although some company sitting next to you does help! A navigator is requried [;)]
