postponed!

the project party is been postponed! They say they want to take us to a better place.
I had given the expectations to so many people...it's sad! I had to say no to a couple of people with whom i had booked the dinner or the venue. And it was fairly difficult to do so. Especially with this Taste of India guy. Sam. He hung-up the phone on me...rudely. And i ask myself if he should've done that. It was in his right to be angry...but i still am his customer ain't i?! Customer is God! I pity the guy. He does show some tendency to loose business easily. Atleast he lost any more business from me.

bowling gloves

i bot gloves for doing bowling...
hope they fit into my style of bowling! :o)

am preparing for the project party on saturday/sunday/monday/tuesday....well! donno when actually...it's been pretty dynamic!

mandir

went to Udipi Sunday night. I drove on the freeway. So different from India...i drove at 140kmph if that hints you the difference!

went to the mandir on tuesday.
i donno what's about the mandir. but i felt that satisfaction, a bit of warmth. The place demands to let go of your thoughts. I din't have nething on my mind while i was sitting there. It felt to good.

went to Taste of India yesterday. (we were trying for the taste of india in the lift in office...but it did not work out! :o)
A colleague had rented a car. i drove it on the freeway to TOI. the Pontiac - grand am. It's a V6 engine. Couldn't feel much at 80mph. They din't want me to go any faster!!! cool accelleration. bombastic music!

we were thinking of taking a sports car on rent for a few days :o) that would be keeewwwl!

18hours of training...

ya i missed you too! but there was nothing much to write about...

The weekend just flew by. Infact there was not even a weekend this time. We had full day trainings on both Sat and Sun. One was on assertiveness skill and the other on client interaction. They were good. I was able to get some benefit out of it. Not necessary solutions to problems faced in the context, but the sessions made me realise the problems and task at hand, and how to approach them.
Subah subah uthke i had to pick up the instructor from her hotel on both days. Then set her up in the conf room. Go back to home and pick up roomies. It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it ;o)
I want to meet many people. You know the kind of experience you gain by talking and listening is priceless. Given, that i am tired of some people around me, it makes all the more sense to go and look for new companionship...How about K Z? he he!

Ate Chicken Pesto at ABC (American Bread Factory)...It was supposed to be a pizza...but it looked like a sanwich!! Was tasty anyways.

slight confusion

sometimes the more i discuss/talk about my problems with others, even though 'mera dil halka hota hai!!!', i tend to increase my problems.
I see myself running out of patience pretty soon these days. Have to take corrective measures. Will be more conservative with my chote mote 'issues' for a few weeks. Let me note the difference...

it's revealing

Damn! My face is so revealing.
I think when i get close to someone, have some sort of a bonding then the smile and grudge of approval and descent - both show on my face! Contradictingly to the same people i have a expressionless face?! What is it with my face?!
Whatever...i would not trade it with anybody else's.

Will rent a car tomorrow...yess! wanted to do that for a long time.
Then i'll get my snaps taken all around it! Sweet memories ;o)

killer weather

it's so cold. It snowed today morning and there is a chill in the air out there! It stings my ears and pinches my toes.
One of these days i want to rent out a nice looking car...a sedan...or a coupe. For a weekend ofcourse. Infact that's one activity i'd like to do atleast once a month.
Went to cub foods. The machine wasn't authorizing me. I wondered what happened. Did it not like me?! Thought it may be because it was the first time i was using that card on any machine. no...i had inserted it 'ulta' !

met bhai

Well quite an eventfull weekend this time :) met bhai and went over to nishi mausi's place in SC as well.

Could make out that he's been working out real hard this time! Waise he's doing good. I think he's in a stage of his life where he knows what he wants...he's just working towards achieving it.

Reached there friday night. The flight was delayed by 2hours! US Airways...take my hint ;o)
We had dinner in a greek fast food. I don't remember the name of the dish i had...it was like an enclosed tortilla with chicken and all the salads/seasoning she had in the shop. was good. He showed me around downtown. Hmmm...immmediately reminded me that i am staying in a village... :o(
Then we went for bowling. That was decided before hand. i had to show off my spin capabilities! But to my surprise he was also able to spin! :)
Came back and slept around 2:30...had to wake up early next day to go for bowling. It was a 2 hours drive to that place. I did skiing for the first time!! yippeee! We decided that we won't take any training...din't seem to be a big deal at that time. After i fell down a couple of times and when we were not able to go up the slope (ha ha!) we decided to go for the lessons! Took a private lesson. This guide was nice. Atleast he made us comfortable with riding in the snow; if i might call it! Akshia and i showed courage in trying the Level2 slope (they had 3 levels there). I could come down without falling once...yes i said - "WITHOUT FALLING ONCE", howeveer to stop myself from crashing into others i had to slide and fall :) It was real fun...we were sweating! Sweating in snow!
Came back and had lunch in Bombay cuisine. mmmm....good chicken and matar paneer. Then went to the local malls....din't buy nething worth mentioning.
Next day early morning left for South Carolina. Met Nishi mausi, mausaji, neha and aditya...Homely atmosphere...mausi had cooked rajm-chawal and sabzi. yummy. and poha also. waisa poha toh sirf ghar pe khane ko milta hai :) Had a good time...always feels good when you are in/with a family.
Drove back to Charlotte...went to walmart...and then to the airport. bhai waali trip end ho gayi :o(

it's snowing

Here whenever you see a cop car behind you, you just start hoping 'i hope he's no behind me!'. So many rules...you donno when you break 'em!
It's snowing today...i can't walk to office :(
